A leading New Zealand home builder with a strong pipeline of projects is seeking a Project Manager to join their Southland team.

This role is ideal for someone eager to take the next step in their career — whether you’re already supervising projects or looking to move off the tools into construction management.

The Role

Based out of Invercargill and covering the Southland region, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of housing projects. That means ensuring homes are built on time, within budget, and to the high standards expected.

You’ll also be the key point of contact for clients, trades, and suppliers — ensuring the building process runs smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee housing projects from planning to completion, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and budgets are met

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site activity

• Maintain strong communication w

• ith clients throughout the build process

• Prepare and monitor project schedules, timelines, and resources

• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental controls across all job sites

• Provide regular progress updates on costs, quality, subcontractor performance, and client handovers

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in construction/building (or strong equivalent experience)

• A current driver’s licence and good computer literacy

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Clear communication and relationship-building skills with clients, trades, and colleagues

• Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems on the go

• A proactive, motivated, and safety-focused approach
